Mondo’s Philanthropic Efforts: Always Aiming To Do More
In my years working for Mondo, I’ve seen time and time again that it has always been a company that cares about more than just its bottom line.
We’re not just a company that helps talented professionals find their dream job — we’re also a company that wants to make the world a better place.
That’s why, in partnership with our parent company, Addison Group, Mondo is proud to participate in philanthropic initiatives year-round, and it’s why we’re committed to continuing these efforts in the years to come.
One of the most fulfilling parts of my role as employee engagement partner is the current philanthropic initiatives that I have the honor of facilitating, and the future impact I know Mondo will have in the future.
Through continued efforts built on a foundation of our company values, there’s no limit to what Mondo would like to accomplish.
Mondo’s core values

A growth mindset that anything is possible is the foundation for everything we do.
This extends to remaining open to opportunities to expand our understanding of different social causes and helping them to increase their reach and positive impact on the world.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards and keep results at the center of everything and every decision we make for our lives and for our work.
Because of this, we choose to work with and support philanthropic organizations that are not only aligned with our company values but are also focused on having a history of proven results in direct impact to those they aim to help.
Process
We have created habits that serve as support beams to all facets of our lives that together over time build into the big wins.
By integrating this process of support to the organizations we work with, we expand our collective reach and build those big wins together.
Our past philanthropic efforts
Burlington Annual Winter Coat Drive
Each year Mondo’s internal staff collects winter coats for the holidays to donate to Burlington as part of their 15-year tradition of keeping communities warm through their nationally recognized charitable efforts.
Salvation Army
In addition to collecting coats for the holidays, Mondo staff also runs clothing collections to donate to the Salvation Army.
All clothing donated is sold at Salvation Army thrift stores around the country and all proceeds fund their Adult Rehabilitation Centers, where those struggling with drugs and alcohol can receive the support they need for a second chance at life.
Ronald McDonald
Prior to Covid, each of our nation-wide offices spent a day visiting their local Ronald McDonald House Charity location to serve meals to those in need and to help support the RMHC mission of finding ways to directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
We look forward to doing more in-person outreach like this as soon as it is safe to do so.
Feeding America
With 1 in 8 people in the United States facing hunger each day, Mondo worked with Feeding America on our Deals-for-Meals initiative to provide 1 meal for every job placement made in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
With the added incentive of helping those in need, Mondo reps were able to place 100 candidates that resulted in providing 100 meals to families in need for Thanksgiving that year.
Our current philanthropic efforts
Annual Company-Wide #Lunchbag Initiative
Each year, every Mondo office gets together to purchase various food items to assemble bagged lunches.
Once lunches are assembled, they are delivered to shelters for those experiencing homlessness in each of the corresponding offices’ cities — resulting in hundreds of bagged lunches being distributed to those in need nationwide.
One Tree Planted
Focused on global reforestation, One Tree Planted aims to restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world — which is a mission Mondo couldn’t help but get behind.
For our second quarter initiative, Mondo’s internal team of Account Managers and Recruiters have banded together with One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every job placement made.
Once the final tally is revealed, we’ll be excited to see just how many new trees will be planted!
Inspiring Children
Transforming lives through a whole human approach to physical, emotional & mental health, the Inspiring Children Foundation provides underprivileged children with a student-led, principle-based, and restorative mental health & wellness program.
Most recently, our internal reps had the incredible opportunity to put their expertise to work for this organization by providing one-to-one resume writing workshops with young people hoping to enter the workforce.
Philanthropic efforts we’d love to impact in the future
Environmental Impact
Since working with One Tree Planted, supporting environmental sustainability efforts on a larger scale has become a priority for Mondo.
We all share this planet together and for any of us to truly thrive, we first have to ensure that this Earth can thrive as well.
In the future, we’d love to work with organizations that are committed to local, national, and global sustainability efforts.
Social Impact
Mondo works with thousands of individuals every year to find them their dream jobs with companies that are in line with their personal values and provide them with a sense of fulfillment but we know we can expand our impact beyond the employment space.
Whether it’s working with organizations that help those with food or housing insecurity or supporting nonprofits that fight for social equity, Mondo can and will do more.
